Smelly McSmelly

Usually I get up in the mornings and take a shower, and then while my hair is taking ages to dry.. I pop in a disc of Gilmore Girls and putz around on the computer. I did the same thing I do every morning today, and when I went to leave (a tad later than I would have liked) I suddenly remembered I didn't put deodorant on! How could I have gotten dressed with out putting deodorant on?? So anyways, I ran back upstairs and Joe was in the bathroom!! Gr, I was already in a hurry. So I just quick put some of Joe's on.

Well I just caught a whiff of myself, and it made me think of my loving husband who I miss a little extra today now :)

My little Bambi

Milwaukee bound.. in a few days.

Only 2 and a half more days of work, and then I have FIVE whole days off. I feel like this never happens. Me and Joe are going to go to Milwaukee for the weekend!

I work Monday and Tuesday (and today, hence the 2 and a half days of work left) Wednesday will probably be a major clean-the-house day. I can't stand leaving town and coming back to a messy house. I hate coming home to a messy house in general actually. So anyways.. Wednesday will be cleaning and packing day.

Thursday I'm going to try and get Joe to be up and ready to leave around 7:00 or 8:00. We'll see how that actually goes though :/ then we'll be on our way! I figure we'll check into the hotel first and maybe get some lunch, then we're going to hit up the Miller Brewery and the Milwaukee County Zoo. I'm super excited for both! I didn't really make any plans for Thursday evening, but we'll still have the night to ourselves, so maybe I'll find us a nice restaurant to go too :)

Then Friday morning my dad and brother are leaving to come down and we're going to meet them at Miller Park for a Brewer's game. :) Then lucky us, we get to share a hotel room with my brother, his girlfriend and his best friend. All because I'm too cheap to get us another room for the night! But oh well, it should be fun!

We might to the Saturday game too, but if not I was thinking of stopping and getting a day pass for Noah's Ark or something. :) Joe hasn't been to the Dells forever, and I'm always up for a water park.. so hopefully we have money and time left over to do that!

I'm really excited for the whole weekend, but I'm even more excited for the time off work. :)

Why can't that be me???

Some guy just came in to the bank and told me he won $7,000 off a $3 scratch off ticket.

WHY coudln't that have been me???

He got $4,700 back after taxes. Oh what I would do with an extra $4,700?!

*sigh*

Now I'm thinking about how broke I am. :(

Sans pants.

Yesterday Joe got this brilliant idea to go crayfishing. (very redneck of us, right?) Anyways.. he had been fishing down in Spring Valley the other day, and saw lots and lots of crayfish and wanted to bring me to catch them. I was pretty excited, I've never gone crayfishing before.. therefore I didn't know what the job entailed. WELL let me tell you.. I'm not sure if I'll go again, lol. For starters, I'm scared of water. Not all out terrified or anything.. but I won't swim in water where I can't see the bottom. After the 2 nights of rain we got, this water was very, very murky. Plus it was a good foot higher than it was the day before when they went fishing. So here we are trudging along in water up to my waist (which was quite cold by the way) and I can't see the bottom at all, which is totally freaking me out. Plus you can't see the crayfish if the water isn't clear!! So after about 20 minutes walking upstream we turned back and called it day. Seeing as how we were soaking wet from the waist down, we stripped down to our skivvies and rode the whole way home with the windows down and sun shining :) I will always love Sundays..

Icing on the cake

I've been trying to think of ways to repay my wonderful, loving husband for spending 2 long, grueling weeks fixing my damn car. I bought him 2 more seasons of The Simpsons (he's slowly collecting them.. and by slowly, I mean I buy them for him whenever I can.. which is not often) so I buy them on Amazon or Ebay for pretty cheap, but I still don't have money to do that very often.

But anyways, I decided I would surprise him and bring home Chipotle for dinner tonight as a special treat. The boy loves Chipotle almost as much as me :) So I go to Chipotle, order our burritos, pull the $13.00 that I know it's going to cost (okay, well it's $12.98, but who has exact change!) out of my pocket, trying to be prepared for the nice cashier.. and what does she say to me??

"$6.28 please."

I say "Oh well I had both those burritos, a steak and a veggie"

"I know, but we're going to buy one of your burritos for you today!"

WHAT?! How awesome is that!!

It was honestly the perfect ending to my work day :) and also the strawberry rhubarb pie I had waiting for me at home from Joe's mama.

So I guess this shout out goes to Chipotle.. thank you for making my great day even better!!
