Night out at the island*

Last weekend (4th of July) the guys came home from tubing and informed me that we were going out to the island. I didn't have a choice, I was coming with. So I started getting ready and told them to pack up the boat. Roughly 2 hours later we were leaving and Joe decided to inform me that they got nothing ready. We had no chairs, no tent, no food, no firewood. SWEET. so of course I was upset, and called them all mean names. We stayed out there for a couple hours and got bored (and cold w/ no fire) so we came home!

Then this weekend we decided to try it again! It was just me, Joe and Dylan so it was pretty fun :) It kind of sucked because the island was DEAD! There were only a couple fires over on the rich side and we tried to go visit but they were all old and not very sociable. So we just hung out at our fire. Nothing special, just a night away from home :) I wish we could have stayed out on the river today and fished, but we had to get home to the puppies. Poor, poor puppies were kenneled for a looong time! They still love me though :)

Whodunit??

It's actually quite a funny story about how I came across this broken window.

Friday night I was waiting for the boys to get home and for Colette and Molly to come over. There had been fireworks going off around the neighborhood for a couple hours and my dogs are TERRIFIED! Well just Lucky & Kylee, but that's enough to drive me crazy. So anyways Colette had just got here and we went inside the house and I realized that Kylee wasn't in here. So I kind of tried looking for her, I looked in every bedroom and called around outside but still couldn't find her. I let it go a little while and then I decided to check the basement again. Since I was down there, I figured I'd go out the sliding door and check the side of the house. I pull back the curtain and WAM, the glass is all spidery (it didn't happen just then, it just scared me) I don't know why is scared me so bad but for some reason I thought someone was standing outside the door. funny, right? :) lol

Anyways, I blamed Joe because he had just mowed the lawn and I thought that he spit up a rock or something.

Turns out it wasn't him, and we still don't know what happened. We thought maybe it was a neighbor boy playing baseball or something.. but that's a pretty long pitch so I duno.

It will officially be the first thing we'll have to fix in our house. YAY! well not yay, but still. :)

OH yea, and in case you're wondering.. Kylee had been hiding in the spare bedroom under the bed the whole time. poor scared puppy :(

T-ball Love :)

Last night I got to spend a very fun night with my mom and Benny! :)

Benny is one of my moms daycare kids. I should mention that I was told awhile ago that Benny no longer goes by "Benny" or "Ben", but just Bennett. That made me a little sad.. but little does the child know.. he'll always be my little Benny boy :)

But anyways, yesterday my mom and Benny picked me up from work and we went and had dinner at Noodles :) It was very scrumptious! I even tried something new.. which never happens. Then we headed over to Benny's last t-ball game. It was so cute seeing them play :) I haven't watched a t-ball game for a looong time. I was kind of sad because I guess 2 of my little cousins play ball in Woodbury too, but they play during the day. It would have been way cool if I could have watched all 3 little guys play!

I promised Benny I wouldn't take any pictures of him when he was playing.. but the kid is 5 and I'm 20.. so obviously I over ruled that one!

Each inning they let 6 batters hit. The last batter is always the "homerun hitter". Benny got to be the homerun hitter last night!

He's so cute, he kept waving and giving us thumbs up signs when he was in the outfield. He even ran over to where we were sitting twice because he wanted to know what we were eating, lol.
