Oops, I've kind of been slacking on my blogging duties lately. I feel like I do the same thing week after week, so really there's nothing worth telling! Let's see how this week was..

Well I guess I should start a couple days before this week started.. CHRISTMAS! My 2nd favorite holiday. I love, love, love getting together with all my family.. especially at my grandparents house. The atmosphere is just so friendly and loving. I love sitting on the couch with my aunts drinking wine, I love playing with all my little cousins, I love helping my Grandma cook dinner. There's really nothing better than family :) Christmas Eve my mom, dad, brother, Grandma & Grandpa came over and had Christmas at our house. It was a lot of fun! Christmas Day we went over to Joe's moms and had Christmas there, and the day after Christmas we celebrated at my grandparents. Lots of fun times!

So back to this Monday. It was very, very busy at work and by the time 5:00 rolled around I was ready to hightail it out of there! I got home and spend a quite evening at home w/ Joe & puppies :)

Tuesday = BINGO NIGHT! I was so, so excited because Sami didn't have volleyball that night and she was able to come play bingo with me!! I went to JJ's around 7:00 by myself, because Joe had to go tow poor Tiffany's car home. Sami and Stevie got there around 7:30ish and Joe came around 9:00. Joe won the coverall!! Along with 3 other people.. :( lol and it was only $210 because someone had won it the week before.. but hey, he still got $70! That was pretty exciting :)

Wednesday = TRIVIA NIGHT! Tuesdays & Wednesdays are by far my favorite days of the week! I actually convinced Joe & Jake to come play trivia w/ me at Seasons this week, so we all headed to Seasons around 8:15. Since Stevie didn't have school this week, she was able to stay and play trivia.. yay! I don't think Joe loved trivia as much as I do, unfortunately :( but oh well. The only bad part of that night there was that Hot Toddy was not working :( Hot Toddy is the best bartender at Seasons.. love him! After trivia was over I kicked Sami's ass twice at darts (which was good because she kicked mine at JJ's last night, lol) Then we played Cricket w/ the boys. Hard game, but fun! I think Joe was getting a little crabby because he didn't want to be out so late, but he also didn't tell me he was ready to leave.. so I finally could tell he wanted to leave and we headed home. My favorite Jesse Penman had text me and told me he was working and to stop out at the bar if I was out, so when we got home I went out to JJ's for awhile. And when I say awhile.. I mean 3:15 in the morning. Oops :/ It was fun though, there was only a couple other guys in the bar and I helped Jesse clean tables & put chairs up, then we played a couple games of darts and drank. Really probably shouldn't have drove home, Jesse called and talked to me the whole way home so that helped a little I guess. Still don't like driving after I've been drinking though!

Thursday = LONG, LONG day. I actually woke up Thursday morning still quite drunk. (only got like 2 hours of sleep) I realized I had pushed snooze wayy more than I should have, and was already quite late getting ready for work. Great start to the day, right? Well it didn't get much better. Every hour I swore I wouldn't make another one. lol I was just about ready to swear off drinking. (HA) I started to feel a little better right before I left work, which was good because I was meeting Joe's mom and we were gona do some shopping in Woodbury. Got a new pair of work shoes (Christmas present from Joe's mom) and a couple groceries at Trader Joe's but that's about it. We had dinner at Pei Wei then came home and I went right to bed! I was only able to sleep for about 3 hours before Joe and the boys came home and were very, very loud until like 3:00 in the morning. I was not happy with them this morning. I was really hoping for a good night's sleep before going out tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get a nap in today after work.

And thankfully today is FRIDAY! Even though the morning didn't start off the greatest on account of someone hitting a power line in front of work and the power being out. But hopefully the day goes by fast and 3:00 comes and I can leave right away! Still not quite sure what our NYE plans are.. but I hope it'll be fun!

So I bought this box of Wheaties because my boyfriend, Peyton Manning, was on the front. Little did I know.. I LOVE Wheaties!! Haha I've never had them before, but they are most delicious! Definitely my breakfast choice every morning now :)

Birthday Celebrations!

My birthday week has almost come to end.. but what fun was had!

Monday night I babysat, and made some extra money to go out with :)

On my actual birthday (Tuesday) I worked until about 11:00 and then Joe met me up here and we went to MOA! Now, my husband is not the shopping type.. so I think the only reason he agreed was because it was my birthday. Which is fine with me :) We spent about 3 hours just walking around the mall, it was very much fun! Joe got me some new perfume from Victoria's Secret for my birthday and he also traded in his biggest deer hide and let me keep the coupon to go pick something out for myself later. New warm pair of mittens here I come!! :) So we got home from MOA and pretty much just got changed and ready to head out to JJ's for dinner & bingo! It was me, Joe, Erin, my mom, dad, Derrick, Dilly Bar & Jake. Dinner was delicious and bingo was fun as always! Except I didn't win :( but oh well. My bar boys weren't there, but Amybar was.. so that was good enough for me :) Oh I forgot my lovey, Sami even came out for a little bit after her volleyball practice. I love this girl :) I think we left the bar around 11:30 and I stayed up for one more drink with the boys at home then went to bed since I had to work at 8:45 on Wednesday!

Wednesday royally sucked at work, because Monday night I started getting a cold and by Wednesday morning it was just awful. I had the worst sore throat and stuffy nose. It was really no fun. I worked until 5:00 and then went over to Joe's mom for my birthday dinner at their house. Steak, potatoes & veggies.. SO DELICIOUS!! But needless to say, after that I was ready to go home and pass out. Which is exactly what I did :) I guess Joe left to sleep somewhere else in the middle of the night because he said I was whining in my sleep. Sheesh boy, it's not my fault I'm a baby when I'm sick! lol

Thursday I felt a little better, but I still would much rather have been at home in bed. I got home from work around 6:30 and Joseph had dinner mostly ready and we ate dinner and watched Bones in bed!

Today is FINALLY Friday and I get to go out w/ my bestest ever friend, Amanda Jane Miller!! It has been WAY too long since I've seen her :( We are going to go out to the Outpost for some good ol' quality drinking time! I can't wait!! On that same note, it is my first weekend in the last couple months that I don't get to see Sami.. I'm going to miss her! But I'm glad she's going to LAX to visit her friends.

Saturday is work and nothing else planned so far. Spending some time to myself since the boy will be hunting!

Sunday.. BIG GAME. Oh boy, I'm a little nervous :/

I'm really wishing it wasn't Monday morning already :(
I had another great weekend, and was sad to see it end so soon!

Friday I got done w/ work at 3:00 and went home to try and take a nap. Well, the nap didn't happen.. which is okay because I wasn't as tired as I thought when I was at work. (Weird that I perk up the second I leave work, right??) So I putzed around the house a little bit. Got some much needed laundry done! Then around 7:00 my once bestest ever friend, Abby came over. It was soo nice to see her! I feel like it's been years & years. (Sadly, it probably has.) We sat in my living room talking for about an hour before Samantha Jane decided to get her ass to my house. Then we all headed out to JJ's. What a GREAT, GREAT time we had! We talked, we ate, we drank, we danced.. it was so much fun! Not going to lie, I haven't been that drunk in quite awhile. Which made it all the more fun of course :) We got home around 3:00am and I made the mistake of laying down in my bed and after that there was no getting up :( lol my feet hurt so bad from dancing in heels, and I was just exhausted. So instead of holing up w/ my girls downstairs in bed, I slept in my own bed. Abby left pretty much right away and me and Sami fell back asleep until Joseph came down and told us breakfast was made :) Honestly, the thought of food made me want to gag, and all I could think about was a Bloody Mary. For some reason, I thought that could cure all my ailments, lol. Which it did.. for awhile!

After Sami left Saturday morning, I crawled back into bed w/ Joseph and slept for a looong time. Then Joe had to go to my parents to help with my brother's truck and curled up on the couch with puppies and watched Dawson's Creek. Sami kept calling me while she was at work and telling me how she just wanted to die because she was so hung over, lol. Made me laugh a little bit! By about 7:00 I was bored and ready to go out again, but Sami was working until 10:00 and I didn't really have much else to do. So I just waited for Joe to get home and we ate Chipotle and went to bed :)

Sunday morning (ahem.. afternoon) I woke up at 12:01 and raced upstairs to turn the Vikes on. What a sad game.. again. After the game we went over to my parents so Joe could do Kory's brakes, and then we went to MONGOLIAN for dinner. YUM!!! So delicious. Almost made me forget about the game. We got back to my parents and Sami told me she was meeting a blind date at Seasons and she wanted me there for moral support. So me and Joe sat w/ Stevie and had one beer and spied on Sami. Oh what fun :) I'm still waiting to here the details on the date. He was cute & they laughed alot, so I hope it went well!!

Now it's Monday and I'm oh so sad about it. Can't it be Saturday again???

TOMORROW is my BIRTHDAY though!! yay!! :)

Thirsty Thursday

What a very, very long work week it has been already! I'm so glad it's Friday and I have the weekend off :)

Last night I worked until 6:00 and then met Sami, her brother Matt, and Mike at Seasons Tavern for a "few" drinks. Her sister works there too, and it was so much fun to hang out w/ all of them. They were like a second family to me so long ago and it was great to see them! Unfortunately, a few beers turned into 11:00 and me realizing it was much past my bedtime. :(

So I went home and got to help Joe package venison from his deer he got that night! I was excited about the deer part, not the me cleaning & packaging it part at 11:30 at night when I should have been sleeping a long time ago lol. But it's always my job, so I did it :)

I'm supposed to be done at 3:00 today, so the plan is to go home and take a nap and get ready for a night w/ my girls, Sami & Abby!! I'm so excited to have all 3 of us together again. It's been wayyy too long :) Not even sure what we're doing yet, but I know it'll be fun :)

1 Week..

22 YEARS OLD! sheesh, where did time go!

Don't really have anything special planned. Since it's on a Tuesday, that means bingo night @ JJ's w/ good friends of course :)

I'm secretly hoping for my mom to make me a special bonnie butter cake! Mmm, I can almost taste the sugary delicious-ness now! Sugary delicious-ness that I don't need, but want oh so bad, lol.

Weekend Fun!

My work weeks are usually so boring that I really live for the weekends! Now granted, sometimes my weekends are really boring too.. but still, it means no work! Let's see if I can remember when I did last weekend...

Friday night I was supposed to work until 5:00, but ended up not getting out until about 6:00. Originally I was going to go home and relax w/ the house to myself. (Joe was going to be at my parents all night helping dad w/ Kory's car) But then a certain someone talked me into going to Hammond for a little bit. SO I called up Sami G and said that we should go out tonight for a little bit. Once she agreed, I convinced Mike & Scott to come hang out w/ us too. :) We all met in Hammond around 8:00 and drank at the Sports Bar for quite awhile. (By the way, certain someone wasn't even there. jerk.) Me, Mike & Scott played darts (Sami just made fun of me the whole time.. bitch) and then we all played a couple games of dice. I will tell you true love right here.. Sami lost the last dice game & I took her shot of JD for her. Honestly, that's love baby. We decided it was time to move along, so we set out to walk to the Hotel, but ended up at Ras' instead. $5 Ladies Night for Sam & me :) It was a very good night. Drank toooo much, stayed up toooo late.. AND unfortunately ruined my new cell phone :( I shouldn't say ruined, because I'm pretty sure after a couple more days in a bag of rice it'll be good to go. But still frustrating nonetheless.

Saturday may have been the longest day EVER. I was just dead off my feet. Had to get up at 6:30 for work, then spent the rest of the day w/ my mama shopping. I got home around 6:00 or 7:00 and little Sami G, who had napped the whole afternoon was ready to go out.. me, who had only gotten about 10 hours of sleep all week was in no mood to go party more lol. So I passed out around 8:00 and didn't get up until 9:00 the next morning. Sure felt good :)

Sundays are always my favorite day of the week. FOOTBALL!!! :) :) I had a couple hours to myself in the morning while Joe still slept, and then went hunting. So I cleaned the house and watched some 90210 until around noon. Then I got to watch the Vikings WIN!! It's about damn time. Never once did I lose faith in my beloved Vikes.. but it sure gets discourging to watch them lose every week :( So that was a good end to my weekend!

Now it's Tuesday.. which means BINGO night! :) Let's hope I win some mooooola! $$$

Make New Friends & Keep The Old*

What a wonderful, wonderful weekend I had! :)

Friday started off perfect because I knew I was going to be done at THREE. 3:00 on a Friday never happens, so I was very excited!! At that time we were supposed to have my family over to carve pumpkins, so I went home and started cleaning the house and doing a little laundry. Then I talked to my mom and we decided not to do pumpkins that night because both my brother and his girlfriend told people they'd work for them. So I was a little bummed because I was really looking forward to having my family over. But then I got a text message from my beautiful, long lost friend Sami! Seriously, I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say I haven't seen her since since we graduated (almost 4 years ago.. HOLYCOW!) So I was beyond excited to say the least :) First we were just making plans to go play bar bingo at JJ's Sports Bar on Tuesday night, but then we made plans to meet up in Hammond later that night too! I was all dressed and ready to go (I had my mind set to go out that night.. probably would have gone out by myself if no one else would have, lol) So I putzed around the house a little waiting for Sami, then went to meet in Hammond around 7:00. We went to the Sports Bar for one drink, then got a text saying that the happening place to be was at The Hammond Hotel instead. So we went and hung out w/ my 2 favorite Penman boys the rest of the night :) It was so much fun, and it was like no time had passed since I'd seen Sami last!!

Saturday was kind of a sluggish day, because free drinks all night really doesn't make a girl feel too good the following day. So I laid around, cleaned a little and finally got up to take a shower and CARVE PUMPKINS! My mom, dad, Kory, Monica, Jake & Joe's mom all came over and grilled some food, drank some beer & carved pumpkins. It was a lot of fun! I was so tired that the night got to seem very long, and as soon as everyone left I went to bed :) Joe went out to a field party for a little bit, but the rain kind of ruined that.

Sunday I was going to go with my mom to take Kory back to school, but me and Joe had a surprise party to go to in Chisago City so I wasn't able to go with this time. The party was fun! I was worried it was going to be weird because I woudln't know anyone.. but it wasn't at all! The only bad thing was that we had to miss the first quarter of the Viking game. Oh what a game. I think that's all I'm going to say about that now. Too talked out about it :( Still love my damn Vikings though.

Now it's Monday and the day is slowly dragging on. Tomorrow is bingo night w/ Sami and hopefully Mike! Can't wait :) :) :)

No, No, No

I just heard on the radio that it's going to be a "much colder & snowier" winter this year.

I usually don't complain much about winter.. but for some reason I'm just not ready for it yet this year! I don't want to pay for heat, I don't want to stock up on mittens, I don't want to have to start my car an hour early every day.

I'm. just. not. ready.

Fall can last another couples months, please :)

Camping

I had a very fun weekend! Friday night was just spent sitting in the garage w/ Joe, Jake & Denny drinking.. so nothing too special. Then Saturday morning we got all set to go camping at Willow River State Park. It was very fun and relaxing! We got home Sunday morning, I took a quick shower and then snuggled up w/ Joe & Dylan to watch the Packers lose :) Now it's back to work on Monday.. pooey.

I can't wait to go home tonight.. curl up on the couch with a nice plate of dinner (made by my lovely husband) and watch BONES!! Yay, I really can't wait!! I'm so mad that the 5th season doesn't come out on DVD until October 5th. I always like to buy the previous season and catch up before it comes back on TV. But don't worry, I remember exactly what happened the last episode of last season!! :)

Joe got his first deer of the season on opener day! Our freezer and bellies will be very happy over the winter :)

Oh yea, NOW I remember why.

I just realized why it is that I don't like going out on nights when I work the next morning. Unfortunately I realized this at 9:00 this morning, instead of midnight last night. I'm someone who is quite the baby about my sleep, let me tell ya! You do not want to be my friend if you're the reason I got no sleep.. (just ask Joe, lol)

But, it was a fun night! I got home from work around 7:00 and Joe & Jake made me some dinner (Deer & Beer we like to call it.. a good healthy dinner of venison and beer.. yum) Then we set out for Hammond to hang out with our neighbors Jeff & Shannon! We went to Ras' first because there was supposed to be a surprise birthday party for someone Joe knows, but Jeff and Shannon weren't there so we went to JJ's Sports Bar for 1,2,3,4... um.. too many beers? lol then we went back to Ras' for $1 Keystones.. oh yea, can't go wrong with that! :) Then home to bed around midnight!

Fun night, except my poor body is yelling at me for not giving it enough sleep.

It's never boring, and there's always such great food. And the people watching.. so much fun! All in all, it was a wonderful day! My legs feel like they're going to fall off now (too much exercise, I tell ya!) which is perfect, because all I plan on doing tonight is snuggling up to my handsome husband and watch OTH.

Day #4

Aside from spending most of my day in training.. ( I know, I know.. who goes to training for work on their day off?? this girl) but anyways, I'm most happy with the work I accomplished when I got home! I finally got our office set up.. yay! I have an actual desk to put my computer on! Not a kitchen table, or a futon, or a laundry basket on the floor.. a real desk! I'm very excited :) I also put up some more bookshelves in the living room. It seems we're always in need of more movie space. So I'm glad that's taken care of too! We should be set for awhile.. unless I go on a crazy movie buying spree.. ;)

Doggy don't.

Me and Joe were just standing out in the garage and a lady walks by walking 2 little dogs.

Well one dog decides to go doo-doo right in front on our yard (on the road) I kind of look away, out of respect for the lady. I know it's kind of embarrassing when your dog poops in front of people when you're on a walk. So I glanced back towards the road and she looks right at me. She then starts to pull the pooping dog along down the road.. but not before glancing back at me 2 more times!

Seriously, pick up your dogs crap! Especially when it's right in front of my driveway where I walk to get the mail AND especially because I watched you just saunter away, knowingly.

Fun day babysitting!

I had a BLAST babysitting Nora, Addie & Grayson yesterday! When I first got there Nora and Addie were off playing by themselves, so I got handsome little Grayson all to my self for awhile :) when the girls decided they wanted to play with me too, we put Gray down for his nap and we went outside to play. I got our the basketball hoop and tried to teach the girls to play HORSE or PIG. That didn't go over so well, lol. They liked the idea of the animal names, but that's about it. We played outside for a little over an hour then went inside and got baby Grayson up. We ended up playing Hide & Seek forrrever. It was so much fun! I've never seen a 1 1/2 year old catch on so fast! We would tell him it was his turn to count and he'd stand in a corner with his eyes closed and count.. to 2. But hey, it was a good start! :) I only gave the kids 2 rooms, plus the kitchen to hide it, but surprisingly it didn't get old! I could tell the kids were worn out after a meltdown from each of them, so after Addie & Gray left me and Nora went on a little walk and spent the rest of the night curled up on the couch together. It was a very fun day :)

Never ending weekend

I woke up this morning and though "awh, man.. Sunday already? Where did the weekend go?!" and then I remembered that I have ALL next week off! YAYYYY!! It's like a never ending weekend. Well okay, it'll end in a week.. but that's not the point :) I'm going to babysit all day Tuesday, and go to a training for work on Thursday, but other than that I have nothing planned.. which feels great! I wish that Joe could spend the time with me too.. but I guess it's good that he's working :(
Well anyways, I guess I'll tell you about my weekend! Friday I had to work until 6:00, then I got to go babysit a cute baby boy!! :) I kind of wanted to go down to Pepperfest after, but nobody else wanted to go.. so I went out to Erin Corner's instead to see my BEST FRIEND. :) She threw her dad a surprise birthday party, and I crashed it at the end by eating all the leftover cupcakes and chips, haha. I hate that I don't get to see Amanda very much, I miss her! So I was glad I got to see her on Friday!
Saturday morning Joe had to work, so I went to the Pepperfest parade with Molly, Mya, Greg & Dawn. It was fun.. but I ate wayyy too much candy! The parade lasted 2 hours, and I pretty much left for home right after. Then me and Joe went over to Dylan's house for a little soiree :) His parents were having people over from Al's work.. so I got to eat lots of good food and beer! His co-workers didn't stay long, and after they left we all partook in a little Putirskis family fun :) First we played HORSE, which JP won. I think I convinced him that I won too, since he shot after me and I pretty much suck.. so he had a good chance at winning.. haha. Then we played kickball! Girls against boys.. soo much fun! Takes me back to my elementary days, playing kickball everyday at recess.. oh the good times we had! So after that everyone's all hot and sweaty, and what better way to cool down then to drink more beer??? Well I guess I found a better way.. I made Dilly Bar take me for a ride in the 'stang :) We went into Baldwin to get everyone smokes, and then we stopped at A&W to get me a root beer float. On our way back we drove past his neighbors house and they were having a huge party. Earlier in the day the same people were flying their little airplanes over and over and over the house and we were getting a little annoyed.. so, well.. we mooned them. haha but as me and Dylan were driving past their house we decided that we wanted a plane ride. What's the worst that could happen.. they'll say no?? So we dropped in and asked who the owner of this fine establishment was (yea, they're his neighbors, but he's never met them.. lol) The guy happened to be standing 2 feet from us, and Dylan asked if we could get a plane ride in and he said SURE! The guy was super, super nice. He took us up in his little 4 seater and we cruised around for about 10 minutes. It was soo fun! I haven't been a little plane like that forever! I guess Justin & Toni went over there right after we left and tried to get a ride, but we were the last ones they took up because it was getting dark. So that's cool, we just barely made it :) By the time we got back to Dylan's house, they were ready to go in and watch the Packer game so me and Joe just went home. Joe was tired and had to work in the morning, so I went down to Kozy around 10:30 and hung out with my mom until 1:00.. it was very fun! When I left the bar I decided I was hungry so I stopped at Taco Bell, came home and ate then went to bed. It was a great ending to a GREAT day!!!

Amanda asked how we liked the Milwaukee County Zoo, and I said it was great except I didn't get to see any hippos!

So today when I got the mail.. there was 2 hippos in there!

Luxurious

If you remember awhile ago me and Joe were able to get a free king size mattress, which we were SO excited for! It was back when we had all 3 dogs and a queen just wasn't cutting it. So we got the mattress and for awhile I looked around Craigslist and whatnot to find a cheap enough bed frame, but I kinda gave up. Until I've had it in my head that I want to reorganize the basement, and that darn mattress is taking up the whole floor! So today I found 2 box frames & a metal frame for only $60!!! We're going to pick them up tonight, hopefully! Can't wait to have the biiiiig, luxurious mattress in our bedroom :) :) :)

Monday blues.

I was so excited for this weekend.. but WHY?? I really don't know, because nothing went the way I wanted it too.

Friday night I got home from work around 6:30ish, and I was hoping Joe and Dylan would say they wanted to go out.. because I really wanted to go out! It was Heartland Days and I was ready to drink. Well Dylan wanted to go to the pull in Ellsworth, but me and Joe didn't want to because we knew it was going to rain. So instead Joe decides to go over to his friend Mike's house to help him with his go-cart. He tells me he won't be long and if I'm still awake (his never ending joke.. apparently he thinks I sleep too much) we can go to Hammond! I actually got alot done around the house, and I was dressed and ready when he got home. But did we do anything?? No. We just went to bed.

Saturday I guess Mike talked him into working, so I was on my own for most of the day. I asked Joe if he could be home by 3 or 4 at the latest so we could go to the truck pull, and he said okay. So I did some stuff around the house, and then went to Woodbury to do a little shopping. Didn't get too much, but returned a pair of jeans at AE. Oh but the best part.. I saw JESSIE JEWEL/ARCO. It was a very nice surprise to see my mrs. baby mama. I miss her quite terribly :( But anyways, I was on my way home and Kurt called and said him and Kyle were out at the shop and wanted to know if I wanted to stop by for awhile. Hard to say no to my best friend that I haven't talked to for almost 2 weeks!! :) Then I went home and me, Joe & Dilly Bar went to the truck pull. It was fun :) Dylan went home after to eat dinner and I just assumed he'd be back later and we would actually GO OUT. Nope. Joe fell asleep and I sat on my ass bored. I watched the Vikes win, that was about the best part of my night. I was just so mad, there's not many times I want to go out, and whenever I do, nobody else wants to go. It's not fair. I know I sound like a whiny 3 year old, but I don't care :)

Sunday was a good day. Thought maybe Joe would take me to the parade, but we got the house cleaned instead. Me moved our freezer into the basement, and brought a big china cabinet Grandma gave us into the kitchen. I really like it! Just wish my house was bigger now.. :) Then we went over to my parents for the rest of the day.

Well, that was my weekend. Now it's Monday night and Joe's at a snowmobile meeting, so here I am sitting on the computer with a snoring puppy dog in my lap. I almost don't want to move him, he's so precious right now.. :)

More than annoyed.

I just spent almost half an hour on the phone with the Baldwin post office, the Baldwin UPS hub, the Hammond post office, the Hudson post office, the UPS store in Hudson, and finally stupid American Eagle (who made the stupid mistake in the first place!!!!!!!!)

All the lady at AE had to do was ask for verification of my address before she sent off my pair of jeans.

Cheap Therapy

It's Friday morning, I'm at work by myself and I realize that there's a loooot of stuff floating around my head.. so what better way to get it out, than to blog?? :)

Joe's been laid off for 5 months now, and just recently (I'd say the past 2 weeks, maybe a little longer) he's been doing some construction work in the cities.. for CASH! So it's been sooo nice knowing thatwe have just that little extra bit of money. And now the beginning of this week another place called and wanted to hire him for a month or so, also working for cash! AND he just got an interview at United Gear, so it finally seems like things may be falling into place. Thank heaven! :)

It's been really hard on me with him not working. I'm very irritable and we fight wayyy too much. And I shouldn't lie and say it's because he's not working, the main reason is I'm extremely jealous of this girl that he's friends with. It's pretty much the same fight over and over again. And I hate it, because I realize how difficult and stupid I'm being even at the time, but I can't help it :( So we've really been trying to work on that, and I'm happy to say that things have been much, much better. :)

More exciting news.. we're getting a pool! Joe's mom had some problems with their deck foundation out back so she took down the whole deck and decided she didn't want the pool anymore either, so we got to take it! We've talked about getting a pool ever since we bought our house, but it always seemed too expensive and maybe too much work? But we are getting the pool for free, we're doing the work all ourselves, and Joe's mom gave us all the pool chemicals she had left (about a years' worth). So we're not even out much money! Then I think when Joe gets paid from these couple jobs he's been doing (hopefully a little more than $1,000) we're finally going to build our deck. It was a tough decision for awhile.. do we pay off credit cards with the money, or do we do something for ourselves?? But we've wanted a deck for sooo long, and we're going to need some sort of a deck for the pool.. so it seemed like the right thing to do :) We just got the pool liner in the mail yesterday, so now all we're waiting on is a free day and people to help! Hopefully this weekend, or next?!

What else have I got to say?? Work still sucks 90% of the time. They're letting us hire a part-timer, which is awesome.. I just wish they'd hurry up and hire someone!

It's FINALLY Football season again!! I wonder how I survived 7 months without Football!?! Very excited for the Viking's first preseason game tomorrow! GO VIKES!! :) :)

I'm very thankful for the rainy summer we've had. It's been so good for our little pine trees we planted this spring! Granted, we could have done without the torrential rains and 90mph winds some days (even thought they were fun to watch, lol), but the rain itself was nice to have!

We still haven't been able to get pregnant :( I told myself it was a good thing, because of Joe's unemployment right now.. but it's still hard. We both want it so bad. Everyone keeps telling me that it will happen when it's meant to happen.. but if we both feel like it's meant to happen now, then why hasn't it?? :(

Well it's starting to get busier at work now. Hour and a half down.. 9 to go.

I never posted about our weekend in Milwaukee! Let's see if I remember :)

We got up early to leave on Thursday morning. I got really bummed because it was cold and rainy, and I was hoping for warm and sunny so we could do lots of stuff when we got there! It ended up raining the whole way down there. I was very glad Joe was driving, because it was coming down so hard that we were hydroplaning all over the place! So it was pretty scary, but we made in there in one piece :) Actually when we got there it was almost sunny out! We checked into our hotel and put some clothes on that weren't wrinkled from sitting in a car for 5 hours and set out exploring.

We went to the Miller Brewing Co, and got to tour that whole facility. It was super neat, and crazy to think how much beer is made and shipped out there every day! Makes me love my Miller Lite even more.. :) The tour lasted about an hour, with plenty of time after to sample beer. I was thinking you'd get dinky little samples to try, but nope.. you got three 6 or 8 oz glasses of beer! It was pretty sweet.

By the time we got out of the brewery the sky was looking pretty dark again and then all of a sudden the sirens went off! There were thunderstorm warnings, tornado warnings, flood warnings. It was not going to be a pleasant evening! Once again it started pouring so hard we could hardly see when we were driving. It didn't help that we were in city where we're not used to driving. But once again, we made it to the hotel safe and sound.

It was still pretty early and I had planned on doing more things, so it was kind of a drag to be stuck in the hotel. But I guess I'd rather not die in a tornado, so we laid low for awhile. The TV in the room only had like 30 channels, so we got bored real fast. aaand we got hungry. So good ol' Tom Tom told me that there was a Chuck-E-Cheese pretty much within walking distance of our hotel! Of course we didn't walk in the torrential tornadic flooding weather, but we did drive ourselves to Chuck-E-Cheese! We got pizza and played games for quite awhile, then went back to our room and went to bed. For the day not turning out how I'd planned it, it went pretty well :)

We woke up Friday morning to.. rain. When the heck were we going to get to go to the zoo?! We were lazy bones and stayed in bed too long so we missed the continental breakfast, but luckily by the time we got showered and dressed it had stopped raining! So we set out for the zoo. And let me just say one thing.. the Milwaukee County Zoo is highly overpriced. Not to say we didn't enjoy ourselves, but we could have enjoyed ourselves at a zoo in Minnesota for free. But oh well. We got to see lots of cute animals.. except a hippo. I love hippos, and it was the one exhibit that we missed! I was very bummed out when I realized it after we left :( After the zoo we stopped for lunch at Baker's Square. I brought my mama home a piece of carrot cake since she was so nice to watch my puppies while we were gone :) By the time we got back to the hotel after lunch, everyone else was there! We got the Brewers tickets from my dad's friend who had a whole bunch, so we got to go to the game with all their friends. We started my pre-gaming a little in our room with frozen margaritas that I made everyone :) Then we continued at Miller Park before the game. I had a great time at the game, but it was soo freakin' hot!! It was very nice to get back to the hotel and fall asleep in the air conditioning!!

Well, I think that's about everything. I wish me and Joe were able to get away for more weekends like these.. but the fact that we don't, makes the few that we do even more special and fuN :)

Fawn-Doe-Rosa

Today I was thinking that I never really have anything to blog about. Then I was looking through my camera and realized I had lots of stuff to blog about from this summer so far!

This is from a Sunday afternoon when me and Joe took my baby cousin, Wynter to Fawn-Doe-Rosa in St. Croix Falls. It was the first time I've ever been there, and it was soo neat! Unfortunately my camera died pretty much right when we got there, but I still got a couple good pictures. Other than the deer that I'm feeding, we got to feed ducks, donkeys, goats, baby cows, horses and probably more that I'm forgetting! It was very, very cool and I'm sure I'll make Joe take me back there again :)
